How can we help?

Guides, answers and fixes for every part of Alibi.

Getting started

What is Alibi?

One shared record of every change people and AI agents make across your tools: who made it, what changed and the goal behind it. People search it. Agents check it before they act.

Create your account
  1. Go to alibi.useentropy.com and choose Try free.
  2. Sign in with Google, GitHub, Microsoft or an email link.
  3. Name your first workspace after the business or project.
Connect your tools
  1. In Composio, create an API key with log read access only.
  2. In Alibi, open Settings, Connections and paste the key.
  3. Alibi confirms the connection and starts loading your history.

One key covers every app your agents use. Keep it out of chat, email and documents.

How much history you get

Up to 12 months, loaded when you connect. Personal shows the last 30 days and keeps the rest for when you upgrade.

Do I need AI agents?

No. At launch Alibi records agent actions through Composio. From December it also records people’s edits in HubSpot, Meta Ads and Google Ads, and connects tools without Composio.

Invite your team

Open Settings, People, choose Invite and pick a role. Adding a second person starts your 7-day Team trial.

The timeline

Read the timeline

Changes from every tool appear in one list, newest first. Open one to see the before and after, who made it, the goal behind it and the confidence of the link.

Filter and search

Filter by tool, person, agent, automation or date. Search by record name, such as a deal, campaign or file.

Open the record in its tool

Open a change and choose Open in the tool, for example Open in HubSpot, to go straight to the record.

Share a link to a change

Open a change and choose Copy link. Links are on Pro and Team. People without access see nothing.

How often Alibi checks

Every 5 minutes on Personal, every 30 seconds on Pro and Team, and every 15 seconds on Enterprise.

Can Alibi undo a change?

Not yet. It shows the before and after so you can fix it in the tool. Undo is on the roadmap.

Goals and context

What the alibi is

The record on one change: who made it, for whom, why, and how sure Alibi is of the link, for example joined · 0.98.

Set a goal

Open Goals and add the outcome your team is working toward. Changes that serve it are linked to it, so everyone sees the same direction.

Declare an agent’s goal

Agents call alibi_declare with a short goal before they start. Alibi attaches it to every change in that run.

Inferred goals

When no goal was declared, Alibi infers one from related changes and marks it inferred, with a score. Confirm or correct it in one click.

What confidence means

A method and a score from 0.00 to 1.00. joined is a direct match to a logged action. inferred is Alibi’s best reading. Low scores go to review.

Ask and the digest

Ask a question

Open Ask and type a question in plain language. Alibi answers from your record and links every change it used. Ask is on Pro and Team.

Questions that work well
  • Who changed the Brightwater deal stage last night?
  • Why did the lead sync stop?
  • What changed in Meta Ads this week?
  • What did the agency change this month?
The weekly digest

Every plan gets a short weekly summary: what changed, who changed it and anything to review. On Team and Enterprise, each person gets their own.

Agents and MCP

Add Alibi to Claude or another MCP client
  1. Open Settings, Agents and create a token.
  2. Add the Alibi MCP address and token to your client.
  3. Ask the agent to call alibi_recall on a record.
The four agent tools
  • alibi_recall: one record’s history.
  • alibi_changes: recent changes.
  • alibi_actor: one person’s or agent’s work.
  • alibi_declare: the goal for a run.
Make agents check first

Add this to your agent’s instructions: “Before changing a record, call alibi_recall. If someone changed or paused it recently, stop and explain why.”

Can agents see more than their owner?

No. An agent sees what its owner sees.

Sharing and teams

Who sees what

New accounts start private. Each person sees their own work until something is shared.

Choose a sharing preset

In Settings, Sharing, pick Private until shared, Open within each project, Managers see their teams, or Custom.

Share a change, a person or a tool

Open a change and choose Share. Rules can also cover one person’s work or one tool, with an optional end date.

Confidential topics

Mark pay, hiring, deals, legal or your own topics as confidential. Only chosen people see them, and others can’t tell they exist.

Work with other companies

On Team, invite clients, agencies, freelancers or partners into a project. Guest is read-only. Member can run agents. Each person takes one seat.

Plans and billing

What the plans cost

Personal is free. Pro is $19 a month, or $182.40 a year. Team is $25 a person a month, or $240 a year. Enterprise is by contract. Prices are before VAT or sales tax.

Who counts as a seat

A person who signs in. Agents never count.

Free trial and referrals

Pro and Team come with a 7-day trial and no card. Signed up through a friend’s link? You get an extra month free on top. Your friend gets a free month of their plan when you pay your first bill.

Change plan

Open Settings, Billing. Upgrades apply at once, and older history appears straight away.

How Team seats are billed

One seat per person. Seats update and prorate when people join or leave.

Cancel your plan

Open Settings, Billing and choose Cancel. You move to Personal at the end of the period and keep your data.

Security and data

Can Alibi change my tools?

No. Alibi only reads, and your key only reads logs.

Where your data is stored

In Frankfurt, in the EU, with a separate encryption key for each paying account.

What tamper-evident means

Each entry is hashed with the one before. Any edit or deletion breaks the chain and shows.

Export your history

Open Settings, Export and download any period as CSV or JSON, with a check that the chain is intact.

Delete your data

Closing your account deletes your data. Export first if you want a copy.

  2. Invite the client as Guest and the agency as Member.

Troubleshooting

A trace stopped

Alibi marks a gap when it can’t read logs. Save a new read-only key in Settings, Connections and the gap fills.

“No alibi yet” on a change

Alibi found several possible causes, or none. Pick the right one or mark it unknown.

A tool is missing

Alibi covers every app your agents use through Composio. For other tools, write to us and we’ll tell you when they’re covered.
